What is semi-permanent mascara?

What is semi-permanent mascara about?
This is a treatment that is done in a beauty salon with the use of applicators and formula which stays on eyelashes from 2 to 3 weeks. The formula used is waterproof, does not smudge and gives a natural effect of covered eyelashes. In most cases it does not cause allergic reactions.
The treatment takes from 30 to 60 minutes and starts with the application of a base on eyelashes, which gently cleanses them. Then the eyelashes are combed with a thin comb and the cotton pads are glued onto the upper and lower eyelids; the latter are designed to protect the skin from dirt. After that, with the use of metal applicator, the beautician applies the semi-permanent mascara on the eyelashes and combs them. The effect depends on the condition of eyelashes and the number of layers. After the treatment you receive a brush for splitting eyelashes.
Semi-permanent mascara – for whom?
This is a perfect treatment for almost every woman who wants to save some time every morning. However, those who like to rub their eyes or touch the skin around the eyes should reconsider the treatment as this may not be that good idea.
Other contraindications for the semi-permanent mascara:
- diseases (including a recent one), eye irritation and hypersensitivity,
- recent chemotherapy,
- movement and muscle disorders as well as convulsive diseases,
- hyperexcitability,
Semi-permanent mascara – effects
In general, this is a treatment that can bring satisfactory results, but not admiration. Eyelashes become thickened as if a thickening mascara was applied. If you dream about longer or thicker hairs, the treatment is not for you. The effects will not be spectacular even with thin eyelashes. However, if you have thick and strong eyelashes, this treatment will make give them a colour so that you won’t have to apply a regular mascara every morning. Regardless of the type of eyelashes you own, the effect of the treatment will be disproportionate to the price. A regular mascara with similar properties seems to be a better solution.
