Eyelash care products

There is no need to visit a store to buy various cosmetics. Everything you need can be found in your fridge, first aid kit or toilet bag. These are the ones you have to try:

  1. Olive oil has miraculous influence on hair growth, but it also gives moisturising, smoothing and polishing effect. How to use it? Place a few drops of oil on a hygienic stick or a clean mascara brush and then brush your eyelashes. Do it exactly the way you use mascara. You might also soak cotton pads in olive oil and put on your eyelids. Thanks to such a compress both your eyelashes and the skin will look really good.
  2. Vitamins improve the condition of eyelashes. Vitamin deficiency results in weakness, hair loss or breakage. When it comes to eyelash care, use supplements with vitamins B and D. Don’t forget about precious micronutrients.
  3. Vaseline is a method of eyelash care invented a long time ago. This cosmetic stimulates growth, regenerates, glistens and moisturises. Just use your old mascara brush and the apply on your eyelashes. Remember to do it on a regular basis and before sleeping. By the morning, the product should be absorbed so that you can apply your favourite mascara on your eyelashes.
  4. Oil with vitamin E is a great remedy for eyelash loss and dry eyelid skin. It should be applied with a brush on cleansed eyelashes, before bedtime, at least for a month. Thanks to this product your eyelashes will become stronger, shiny and nourished.

Our precious castor oil

It is no secret that castor oil plays a very important role in eyelash care. Its importance in stimulating growth is invaluable. How to use it? Start with a gentle makeup remover. Put your favourite product on a cotton pad and press it to your eyelids. Wait for a moment until the mascara, eyeliner and eye shadows dissolve, then wash your eyes with warm water. Now you can start applying castor oil. Apply it using a hygienic stick, fingers or a clean brush from an old mascara. Make sure that the product does not get into your eyes – it may cause irritation. Do not overdo it with the amount of castor oil – the cosmetic has a dense formula that can run down to your eyes and stick your eyelashes.

Choose a high quality mascara

Mascara is something more than just a cosmetic. More and more products of this type contain active ingredients that care for both eyelashes and eyelid skin. Look for vitamins, minerals and substances responsible for improving thickness, length and general condition. Also, pay attention to the effect a particular mascara gives – curling, lengthening, thickening and eyelash separation. The type of the brush and the formula are essential as well. The owners of long and thick eyelashes should use mascaras with light formula and a delicate spiral. Short and sparse eyelashes need thick formulas and large lash brushes.

The composition, formula, and brush are not the only aspects to look at when choosing the right mascara. The colour of the product needs to match the skin, eyes and hair colour:

  • blondes with light skin and blue eyes should choose mascaras matching their iris, graphite or brown;
  • brown-haired with light eyes and peach-coloured skin can use green, blue and dark brown mascaras;
  • red-haired should pick brown, black or green products;
  • girls with black or brown hair, dark complexion and irises will look good with navy blue, graphite or black;
  • brunettes with light skin and blue or brown eyes can use fillet, graphite or black mascara.

 Eyelash conditioner is a must!

If you do not want to use castor oil or other cosmetics from the first-aid kit, use a conditioner. They usually contain vitamins E and B, plant extracts and some soothing substances. Such conditioners thicken and strengthen natural eyelashes at the same time nourishing the eyelid skin.
