Clinique High Impact lifts and curls eyelashes, as well as provides extension and thickening.
Performance:
Clinique Mascara is supposed to lift, curl, lengthen and thicken lashes thanks to a special wand. The bristles of the spiral, which are made from gentle, empty fibres, aim at applying the mascara effortlessly and subtly combing the lashes. A narrowed tip of the wand lets you coat upper and bottom corner eyelashes. The twisted arrangement of bristles was supposed to give the effect of thickening and prevent clumping. Does it actually work this way? Customers complain that Clinique Mascara leaves their lashes sticking together. It might be the consequence of the nylon bristles which clump hairs instead of separating them.
The manufacturer says that High Impact Mascara is rich in polymers which give eyelash extension and separation, as well as the polymer base which has conditioning qualities. Double-hydration polymers were supposed to upgrade the pigments and make colors bolder. Regrettably, this is another time when the intention and the effects don’t match. Clinique Mascara reviews mention that the color isn’t intense.

- despite the manufacturer’s promises, it doesn’t give lash thickening, extension, lifting or separation,
- the color isn’t intense enough,

- it flakes and falls on cheeks,
- it vanishes with rain,
- it gets on the eyelids,
- it clumps lashes,
- it weakens eyelashes and makes them fall out,
- a high price.
